When you have menopause natural remedies, you have a world of relief in your hands. While some people rely on medications and doses of hormones to get through this stage of life comfortably, there are natural remedies for menopause to consider as well. Of course, the consideration should be done in collaboration with your physician.

Women who feel depressed might find relief in St. John’s Wort. This is one of the menopause natural remedies that can elevate mood. I found that the herbal remedy took care of my irritability that I was feeling as well. This proved to be a great relief for me as well as anyone who got in my path on any given day.

I did take great precaution to talk to my doctor before trying St. John’s Wort and I’m glad that I did. The herbal menopause natural remedies may interfere with other medications so it is best to discuss these options with a medical professional before taking any. The interactions might wind up being worse than your symptoms were in the first place.

Another herbal remedy recommended among the menopause natural remedies is Black Cohosh. I haven’t touched this herb just because the St. John’s Wort has taken care of my most troublesome symptoms. However, you might want to consider this as one of the preferred menopause natural remedies if other symptoms are bothering you.

Hot flashes, for example, are really troublesome for many women during this stage of life. While I’m no fan of hot flashes, to say the least, I decided to skip this particular herb. I guess that the name Black Cohosh isn’t really appealing, either. I just wanted to set priority of which symptoms of menopause I wanted to address.

Supplements can serve as wonderful menopause natural remedies as well. I take potassium for a number of reasons. I need a lot of energy. My job is very demanding. I do volunteer work and I have four grandkids. Potassium helps to boost energy and I really notice the difference since I started taking the supplements.

Potassium also elevates some of the uncomfortable bloating associated with menopausal symptoms. I make sure to keep this on the top of my menopause natural remedies list. It is my personal favorite.

Diet and exercise as well as a good night’s sleep are other menopause natural remedies that have done wonders for me as well. I love that I have a safe approach to treating my symptoms.

Weight gain can be an early sign of menopause although it can be caused by many factors including a slowing metabolism due to aging. An increase in using sugar, alcohol, tobacco or stress can result in weight gain, as of course can overeating. Another early sign of menopause is hot flushes. Research suggests they occur in 80% of woman during menopause, so they also can be seen as quite a reliable sign.

The big question really is how to reduce or eliminate these symptoms and signs of menopause.

There is of course HRT, however controversial research has linked it to an increase in ****** cancer.

If you are more interested looking at natural menopause remedies then they fall into two simple categories.

1) Reducing menopause weight gain and other signs of menopause by detoxifying the body.

2) Reducing menopause weight gain and other signs of menopause by strengthen the immune system or balancing your body chemistry.

Detoxifying to reducing menopause weight gain and other signs of menopause.

Approaches that involve detoxification are based on evidence that the lower the toxic load of the body, the more easily it manages menopause symptoms. The underlying concept is that your body can heal itself if given less to manage, so you detox to free up resources for the body to deploy in managing menopause symptoms.

Strengthening/Balancing the body to reduce menopause weight gain and other signs of menopause.

Approaches that strengthen and balance the body are the “otherside of the coin” so to speak to the detoxifying approach. The underlying principle is the same, the body will heal itself if it has the resources. Approaches to managing the signs of menopause that strengthen and balance the body work by using herbal or homeopathic treatments that manage menopause symptoms whilst strengthen the body’s natural systems.

Menopause, Weight Gain and Toxicity.

So how do natural menopause remedies help you lose weight, Well firstly the best of natural menopause remedies is regular and varied exercise but we will look at that in a moment. The second issue is that your body holds excess water and fat to buffer the body from its toxic load.

When that toxic load declines, weight just falls away, you don’t have to do anything.

Exercise is very important as it works the body’s lymph system, a key element in the detoxifying process. Exercise also balances hormones and promotes relaxation countering mood swings that may prompt you too eat “comfort food.”

Conclusion

Evidences supports the idea that toxic load can intensify menopause symptoms. It therefore seems clear that a detoxifying approach combined with a strengthening and balancing approach is an excellent “non-medical” way to manage your menopause symptoms.
We often hear middle age women talking about menopause and menopause symptoms relief. Just what is menopause? Menopause is a natural biological process that every woman will face when she gets to the age of between 45 and 55. It is by no mean an ailment, infection or a medical disorder. This process is more of a time of physical and emotional changes. With the onset of menopause lower levels of female hormones are produced by the ovaries.

The majority of women do not have much trouble going through menopause. On the other hand, there are many that suffer from average to severe symptoms. Menopause symptoms include night sweats, insomnia, fatigue, hot flushes, anxiety, joint pain, headaches, depression, sadness and heart palpitations. It is different with every woman when it comes to these symptoms. They could in some cases get worse or tend to last for years.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is the common pharmaceutical treatment for alleviating symptoms of menopause. With this method women are either given oral estrogen hormone alone or combined with another hormone Progesterone in the form of progestin. These hormones are in a synthetic form. Until recently Hormone Replacement Therapy delivers the best menopause symptoms relief especially night sweats and hot flushes. It was also believed that HRT could prevent strokes, heart attacks and osteoporosis.

Many women have been taking HRT for years and it is now reported that it carries certain health dangers. These risks include blood clots, ****** cancer, high blood pressure and uterine cancer. Menopausal women are advised to only take the lowest dosage that would give them menopause symptoms relief. They are also encouraged to take HRT for the shortest time frame possible.

There have been menopause natural relief products available that work for some people. For those who have very severe symptoms they have to resort to Hormone Replace Therapy. Today on the market there are products for menopause symptoms relief that are both natural and effective. Generally such menopause natural relief products are formulated with a blend of herbal extracts such as black cohosh, soy, damiana, vitamin E and other phytoestrogen herbal ingredients. Throughout history these components have proved to be effective in correcting hormonal imbalance. The ingredients in these herbal menopause symptoms relief products are highly recommended by leading herbal experts as alternatives to HRT.

Such menopause natural relief works by restoring the hormone levels of the body to give menopause symptoms relief. Females who have had a hysterectomy can also benefit from these products. These menopause natural relief products do not generally have interactions with drugs. Manufacturers of such menopause symptoms relief products often also make other quality herbal supplements.

For years manufacturers of menopause natural relief products cautioned women about the risks of synthetic Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Herbal menopause symptoms relief products are highly recommended by doctors the world over as the safe and effective menopause natural relief. Reviews from consumers show that menopause natural relief products are effective for menopause symptoms relief.

Many specialists are of the opinion that menopause natural relief products are safe and work better than prescription drugs or traditional hormone replacement therapy. Many of these herbal products do provide effective and guaranteed menopause symptoms relief. These products also help to maintain the normal functions of the female body.

If you are presently going through menopause and suffering from menopause symptoms, you owe it to yourself to find out more about such menopause natural relief products and how they can benefit you mentally, physically and emotionally.

About the Author:

Menopause is not a disease or an illness. It is a transition between two phases of a woman’s life. Menopause occurs when a woman permanently stops menstruating (having periods). Many women experience a variety of symptoms as a result of the hormonal changes associated with the transition through menopause. Around the time of menopause, women often lose bone density and their cholesterol may worsen, increasing their risk of heart disease

Menopause is a natural process that occurs because of a decrease in the function of the ovaries, which also control estrogen production. In addition to a decrease in estrogen levels, menopause results in decreased progesterone levels, meaning that any eggs that are released are less likely to be fertilized.

Menopause management should encompass a holistic approach to include discussion on life-style and dietary factors, as well as specific menopause treatment options. For many women, hormone replacement therapies can provide very effective relief of distressing menopausal symptoms, significantly improving their quality of life, and can provide an important preventive role, reducing the risk of debilitating disease such as osteoporosis.

When does Menopause occur?

The occurrence of menopause is different for each woman. Menopause usually occurs between the ages of 40 and 55. The age of when menopause occurs is affected by several factors, including Nutrition. Malnourished women begin menopause about 4 years earlier than well-nourished women. Early onset of menstruation. Women who begin menstruation at an early age are more likely to begin menopause later

Menopause is a natural event that normally occurs between the ages of 45 and 55.Once menopause is complete (called postmenopause), you can no longer become pregnant. The symptoms of menopause are caused by changes in estrogen and progesterone levels. As the ovaries become less functional, they produce less of these hormones and the body responds accordingly. The specific symptoms you experience and how significant (mild, moderate, or severe) varies from woman to woman.

Symptoms

Symptoms of the menopause can include hot flushes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, mood swings, declining libido, osteoporosis, ageing skin, lack of energy, joint pains, weight gain, headaches and changes in hair quality. Interestingly, men also experience a lot of these symptoms, with irritability, a declining libido, changes in weight, ageing skin and hair, depression and anxiety.

Treatment

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) was the main treatment for menopause symptoms. Many physicians believed that HRT was not only good for reducing menopausal symptoms, but also reduced the risk of heart disease and bone fractures from osteoporosis. However, the results of a major study called the Women’s Health Initiative has led physicians to change their recommendations.

Menozac is a herbal menopause treatment that has been specially developed to ease the transition period of perimeopausal and menopausal women and to smooth and eliminate symptoms of menopause and early menopause almost immediately. It contains special herbs for menopause and other natural botanical extracts and additives. Among them are: Soy seed, Damiana leaf, Black Cohosh root, and Vitamin E.

Estrogen

Pros: Helps prevent vaginal tissue from thinning; also helps prevent bone loss; very effective against hot flashes

Cons: Increased risk of ****** cancer if taken with a progestin; increased risk of uterine cancer if estrogen is taken without progesterone; increased risk of blood clots.

About the Author:

There are many signs and symptoms of menopause and one of the main concerns that women have when they are going through menopause is spotting during menopause and is it normal or not. Well, to an extent menopause spotting is normal, after all your body is changing from going to have a period every single month to having none, so of course it is natural for your body to stop.

One main concern you may have is after you have entered into post menopause and you start spotting heavily, then it is definitely time to consult your doctor, for it can be a sign of something a bit more serious. One of the first symptoms of menopause is irregular periods and this is when your body starts is cycle of stopping the production of estrogen. So it is pretty obvious that some bleeding during menopause is perfectly normal. If however, you are still worried and concerned about the bleeding, it may help to educate yourself on menopause itself and all the stages, signs, symptoms and what exactly you will be going through for the next ten to fifteen years.

One of the main points that women do not realize about menopause is it is not one main stage that you will go through, menopause is broken down into three or four stages. Pre menopause, perimenopause, menopause itself and finally post menopause are the four stages that each and every woman will go through when they are dealing with menopause. While a lot of doctors like to view pre menopause and perimenopause as the same stage, it is a common known fact that they are two different stages.

There is also one more stage that woman in their thirties will end up going through and that is premature menopause. Now, not every woman goes through premature menopause, it is just a few of them. Premature menopause usually hits women whose female family members have had a history of going through premature menopause.

The only time that you are experiencing actual menopause is when you have gone one entire year without any bleeding. This does include spotting, if you are spotting during those twelve months, then you will have to start all over on your count. Menopause is when you have gone a full twelve months without any spotting, bleeding or menstruating what-so-ever. It may be a good idea to keep tabs on how many months you go without bleeding so that way you will have a good indication of when you have gone from pre menopause to menopause itself.

After you have gone the entire year without menopause, you will have entered post menopause and this is when you will have to be concerned if you are still spotting. Spotting when you are in post menopause is absolutely a reason to consult your doctor, for this can be signs of something way more serious. This is especially true if you go from light spotting to actual heavy bleeding. Even though spotting in all the stages of menopause is generally normal, it is still a good idea to get yourself checked out and do not take any precautions.

About the Author:

is the permanent termination of menstruation and fertility. This stage begins when a woman has her last period. Menopause can be defined by 12 consecutive period-free months. At this stage, ovaries no longer produce eggs as hormone production stops, and common changes become noticeable – including vaginal dryness and loss of *** drive.

Menopause is a natural stage in a woman’s life. The menopausal process occurs in four stages: pre-menopause, perimenopause, menopause, and post menopause.

Pre-menopause refers to a woman’s fertile life, which ranges from her first menstrual period to her last menstrual period. However, the term is often misused to describe the years immediately before menopause (perimenopause) and also to describe premature menopause.

Perimenopause encompasses the years preceding menopause. It describes the length of time when your periods are becoming lighter or heavier. When discussing menopause, most women refer to perimenopause because its during this stage that the hormone levels change and levels of estrogen decline. As ovarian production decreases, the follicle stimulating hormone (or FSH) increases, triggering symptoms like hot flashes, headaches, memory problems, acne, and mood swings.

Perimenopause typically takes place between 45- and 60-years-of-age and can span a 2- to 10-year period of time. Early signs of perimenopause usually occur in a woman’s mid-40s. Women who experience early menopause typically follow their mother’s pattern.

4 Menopause Information Facts

Menopause Information Fact # 1 – Do all women experience menopause in the same way? No. Menopause experiences are different among individual women, and also among women in different cultures, and in different parts of the world. Research has shown that women’s experience of menopause can be related to many things including: genetics, diet, lifestyle, and social and cultural attitudes toward older women.

Menopause Information Fact # 2 – Diet and exercise are pertinent during menopause, as inactivity can heighten the risk of weight gain, heart disease, and osteoporosis. The female hormone, estrogen, protects your heart and bones. When it drops rapidly, you will need to consciously work to compensate for its loss by adopting a healthy diet, an active lifestyle complimented with physical exercise, and by consulting your doctor concerning hormone replacement therapy.

Menopause Information Fact # 3 – To lessen menopausal sickness and lower cholesterol levels, menopausal women should consume foods that are high in plant estrogens. Ideal sources are soy products, lima beans, celery, nuts, seeds, fennel, parsley, and flaxseed oil.

In addition, adding vitamins C, D or E, herbal supplements, low-fat and high-fiber foods such as fruits, green vegetables and whole grains, will help energize your body and ease hot flashes, fatigue, insomnia and uncomfortable bloating. Lastly, lean protein such as chicken and fish can help you to lose weight. Eating five small meals instead of three large ones per day is recommended to keep your blood sugar and metabolism levels even throughout the day.

Menopause Information Fact # 4 – Because of the nature of early or premature menopause, a woman will experience another level of emotional reaction to her situation than someone who comes to menopause in due, natural course. As well, if disease or the treatment that is prescribed has contributed to the onset of early menopause, the individual’s situation is that much more challenging. Psychological issues will likely need as much attention as the physical. Be as kind to yourself as possible. Seek support. Accept help and comfort whenever offered. Breathe.

In summary:

1. How will I know when perimenopause is over and full menopause has settled in? Menopause is considered to be in full effect when you cease to have a period for 12 consecutive months.

2. Will all my perimenopause symptoms disappear when I am in full menopause? No. The experience of menopause is not so cut and dry.

3. What is the single most important thing for me to do? Cultivate an accepting attitude. Menopause is a natural aging process that all women go through. The more you allow these changes to take place, the easier it will be on you. Try not to use menopause as an excuse for bad behavior.

About the Author:

Menopause is the permanent shutting down of the female reproductive system, a considerable length of time before the end of the lifespan. Menopause occurs in a variety of animals, including humans. It is usually a natural process. The word consists of two Greek words meno (month) and pausis (a halt).

In adult human females who still have a uterus, and who are not pregnant or lactating, post menopause is identified by a permanent (at least one year’s) absence of monthly periods or menstruation.

In human females, menopause usually happens more or less in midlife, signaling the end of the fertile phase of a woman’s life. Menopause is perhaps most easily understood as the opposite process to menarche, the start of the monthly periods. However, menopause in women cannot satisfactorily be defined simply as the permanent “stopping of the monthly periods”, because in reality what is happening to the uterus is quite secondary to the process; it is what is happening to the ovaries that is the crucial factor.

For medical reasons, the uterus must sometimes be surgically removed (hysterectomy) in a younger woman; her periods will cease permanently, and the woman will technically be infertile, but as long as at least one of her ovaries is still functioning, the woman will not have reached menopause, because even without the uterus, ovulation and the release of the sequence of reproductive hormones will continue to cycle on until menopause is reached. But in circumstances where a woman’s ovaries are removed (oophorectomy), even if the uterus were to be left intact, the woman will immediately be in “surgical menopause”.

The menopause transition, and post-menopause itself, is a natural life change, not a disease state or a disorder. The transition itself can be challenging for a number of women, but for others it is not difficult.

Age of Women for Menopause

The average age of menopause is 45 and 55 years. In some cased the last period occur which is between the ages of 55 to 60 is called as “late menopause”. There may be an early menopause which is in the age of 40 to 45. Rarely the ovaries stop working at a very early age, anywhere from the age of puberty to age 40, and this is known as premature ovarian failure (POF), also commonly referred to as “premature menopause”. Premature menopause is diagnosed or confirmed by measuring the levels of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH); the levels of these hormones will be abnormally high if menopause has occurred.

Social and psychological significance

The stoppage of the female reproductive system in a particular age of life leads to the third part of a woman’s life, which is known as the “third age”. The menopause change is a major life change, similar to menarche in the magnitude of its social and psychological significance.

The causes of menopause

The causes of menopause can be considered from complementary proximate (mechanistic) and ultimate (adaptive evolutionary) perspectives.

Proximate perspective

It is a natural or physiological menopause which occurs as a part of a woman’s normal aging process. This is the result of the eventual atresia of almost all oocytes in the ovaries. This causes an increase in circulating follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels as there are a decreased number of oocytes responding to these hormones and producing estrogen. This decrease in the production of estrogen leads to the perimenopausal symptoms of hot flashes, insomnia and mood changes, as well as post-menopausal osteoporosis and vaginal atrophy.

Menopause can be surgically induced by bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (removal of both ovaries and both fallopian tubes). It is conjunction with hysterectomy. Cessation of menses as a result of removal of the ovaries is called “surgical menopause”. The sudden and complete drop in reproductive hormone levels usually produces extreme hormone-withdrawal symptoms such as hot flashes, etc.

As mentioned above, removal of the uterus, hysterectomy, does not itself cause menopause, although pelvic surgery can often precipitate a somewhat earlier menopause, perhaps because of a compromised blood supply to the ovaries. Removing the ovaries however, causes an immediate and powerful “surgical menopause”, even if the uterus is left intact.

Cigarette smoking caused the decreasing the age at menopause by as much as one year, and women who have undergone hysterectomy with ovary conservation go through menopause 3.7 years earlier than average. However, premature menopause (before the age of 40) is generally idiopathic.

Ultimate perspective

Possible effects of per menopause, the menopause transition time as the body responds to the rapidly changing levels of natural hormones, a number of effects can appear. It is however worth pointing out, that not every woman experiences bothersome levels of these effects, and even in those women who do experience strong effects, the range of effects and the degree to which they appear is very variable from person to person.

It may be due to low estrogen levels (for example vaginal atrophy and skin drying) remain present even after the menopause transition years are over Many of the effects that are caused by the extreme fluctuations in hormone levels (for example hot flashes and mood changes) usually disappear or improve significantly once the perimenopause transition time has been completed.

Menopause Effect

Lack of energy as the most frequent and distressing effect Other effects can include vasomotor symptoms such as hot flashes and palpitations Psychological effects such as depression, anxiety, irritability, mood swings, memory problems Lack of concentration Atrophic effects such as vaginal dryness and urgency of ********* Sleep disturbances, poor quality sleep, light sleep, insomnia

Treatment

Perimenopause type is a natural stage of life, its not disease or a disorder and it needs no medical treatment. In this case those cases where the physical, mental, and emotional effects of perimenopause are severe, and disrupt the everyday life of the woman, then medical treatment may sometimes be appropriate and helpful.

Hormone therapy is a process to reduce the time or increase the hormones. There are several types of hormone therapies, with various side effects. Hormone replacement therapy or HRT, known in Britain as Hormone Therapy or HT, and the SSRIs appear to provide the most reliable pharmaceutical relief.

About the Author:

One thought that will be haunting today’s young women is that they will have to pass through the menopause period. The common menopause symptoms are night sweats, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, itching and burning. These menopause symptoms will make the young women feel like they are in hell. The menopause symptoms are not limited to the above mentioned ones. In addition to these common menopause symptoms some women experience an uncontrollable urge to *********. This will affect the mental health of the women. Though menopause is associated with several other problems, thankfully there are some natural remedies for menopause.

The Ideal Food for Women in during Menopause Period

According to various researches conducted to deal with menopause symptoms, it was found that consuming foods with plant estrogens will help to control cholesterol along with controlling the menopause symptoms. Consuming foods rich in plant estrogens is one of the best natural remedies for menopause. When it comes to foods rich in plant estrogens, there are several items to choose from. Lima beans, seeds, soy products, celery, nuts, parsley, and flaxseed oil are rich in plant estrogens. Hence consuming an ideal meal with all these estrogen rich items will help women to overcome the menopause period with ease.

Don’t avoid exercise

Proper diet and exercise are indispensable during the menopause period. Many people avoid exercise during the menopause period, thinking that it will harm their health. This thinking is totally wrong. Lack of exercise during the menopause period will increase the menopause symptoms. Inactivity during the menopause period will put women in the risk of abnormal weight gain, osteoporosis and heart problems along with increasing the common menopause symptoms. Estrogen which protects the heart and bones will drastically fall down the normal level during menopause. This loss of estrogen is one of the menopause symptoms which should be compensated by healthy diet and effective exercise.

Meditation for dealing with psychological issues

The menopause symptoms lead to many psychological problems in most of the women. Hence it is necessary to maintain good mental health along with physical health. As there are many natural remedies for menopause for maintaining physical health, you don’t have to worry about it. When it comes to mental health the only natural remedy available is meditation. You will be well aware of the fact that meditation is an excellent stress buster. Hence meditation plays an important role in maintaining mental health during menopause.

Menopause occurs naturally and hence it cannot be grouped under any kinds of diseases. While a few women will be able to pass through the menopause period without any medical attention, many others need some special care for dealing with the menopause symptoms. There are many kinds of natural health care products available for controlling the menopause symptoms. Thanks for the advancements in the healthcare industry.

About the Author:

The symptoms of menopause are caused by changes in estrogen and progesterone levels. When estrogen drops suddenly, as is seen when the ovaries are removed surgically (called surgical menopause), symptoms can be more severe. Perimenopause begins several years before menopause, when the ovaries gradually produce less estrogen. Currently, hormone replacement therapy (estrogen with or without progestin) is the primary treatment for the symptoms and long-term risks associated with menopause. The work is the latest salvo in a years-long back and forth about memory, menopause, and estrogen. During menopause, the ovaries produce less estrogen than during the reproductive years. As a result, many problems women have with menopause relate to low estrogen levels.

Perimenopause is the span of time prior to menopause when the ovaries’ production of estrogen begins to slow down. Women experiencing peri- and postmenopause have found that supplemental estrogen provides the hormones they need to produce and maintain physical and emotional well being. During postmenopause, the depleted level of estrogen can increase other health-related risks such as heart disease and osteoporosis. The lower amounts of estrogen that come with menopause will cause changes in your body. Other Therapies Women also can take selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) to help prevent some of the bone problems that can occur during menopause. Generally in the past when a woman advanced into menopause, a doctor would routinely prescribe estrogen or progesterone in various strengths. During menopause, it is believed that when estrogen levels drop, this decreases the amount of serotonin available to the brain. Many physicians recommend estrogen replacement therapy to: Reduce the undesirable symptoms of menopause.

At this stage, many women experience menopause symptoms (see below). Middle-aged herself, Northrup writes from experience and, more important, from her professional expertise as a physician who has treated many women and researched menopause. A population based survey of women’s experience of the menopause. You may begin to experience signs and symptoms of menopause well before your periods stop permanently. Prior to the onset of menopause, a woman can experience major changes in her moods and attitude. Prognosis Although menopause is a difficult period for some, most women will experience menopause without long-term problems. Women in perimenopause transition typically experience abnormal vaginal bleeding such as erratic periods or abnormal bleeding patterns. Women who smoke experience the menopause at an earlier age than non-smokers. However, many women experience major life changes during their middle age including menopause and sleep disturbances, which can increase the risk of developing depression. In the past, menopause was shrouded in mystery and often viewed as a negative experience and a precursor to death. Most women experience menopause between the ages of about but some go through it years earlier or later, as well. “But some fortysomething women are beginning to experience menopause and many find their desire for *** declines,” Gupta informed us. Some experience menopause problems that their friends never do. In the western world about 12% of woman don’t experience symptoms of menopause and about 14% experience intense physical or emotional problems.

Women and physicians have questions and concerns about the use of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) during and after menopause. Like Sheehy, she reassured women that menopause encourages a journey inwards towards wisdom and serenity.%u201D Menopausally-provoked spiritual insight continues to strike publishing gold. Several generations ago, few women lived beyond menopause. In some women the early menopause occurs spontaneously. The same may be true of women approaching menopause, many of whom live a life filled with stress and worry. Malnourished women begin menopause about 4 years earlier than well-nourished womenEarly onset of menstruation. Each week nearly 30,000 women of all ages and stages find their spirits lifted by the show’s light-hearted look at menopause. While some women choose to live with their symptoms, there are many therapies for the conditions associated with menopause. Today, women can expect to live one third of their lives after menopause.

Pueraria Mirifica capsule Pueragold THAI FDA.

Signs of Menopause? Is There Something to Worry about?

For most young women, the very thought that they will one day have to pass through a stage in their life known as menopause is enough to send them into a kind of trauma. Older women who have gone through menopause would rather not think about the harrowing times they had. And women who are experiencing this situation right now, the less said the better.

Menopause has always occupied a place of dread in the women’s psyche. Most common signs of menopause are the hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, burning and itching. These are enough to make the woman’s life hell, but that is not all. The signs of menopause do not stop there. There could be several other problems with normal ********* such as increased urination, an unstoppable urge to urinate all of a sudden and urinary incontinence, etc. Mood swings are very common in women undergoing menopause, and so are a host of other mental disorders. Some women also become irritable during menopause, while others can have depressions, extreme fatigue and even temporary amnesia. These signs of menopause mark it as a very dreadful phase in the lives of women.

Menopause occurs in women around the age of 45 to 55 years, averaging in most of them at the age of 51 years. During this period, the woman’s sexual functioning stops completely, and the estrogen levels go down. The menstrual periods come to a stop. The reduction in the levels of estrogen is responsible for the signs of menopause that are observed. In women who undergo hysterectomy (surgical removal of the ovaries and the uterus), menopause can be observed at any age.

Since the 1940s, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals have provided what is perhaps the best solution for women to face their menopauses with a smile. Premarin has been the drug of choice for women facing menopause for over six decades now. This drug contains three forms of estrogen – estrone, equilin and equilenin. All these three conjugated estrogens replenish the depleted estrogen amount in the body of the woman during menopause and help her to face the difficult times in a much better way. This drug is available in two forms – the Premarin pill and the Premarin vaginal cream. The pill is for internal administration, while the cream is for topical application at the vaginal tract.

Today, Premarin is the leading women’s drug in the US, with a very large number of women using this drug. Recommendations for the drug are even passed on from on generation to another. At the same time, the Premarin vaginal cream helps in controlling other problems related with menopause such as the onset of vaginal atrophy. The products are also effective in controlling osteoporosis in users.

If the Premarin vaginal cream is used keeping all the contraindications of the drug in mind, then the woman will be able to sail through her menopausal period without any problems. However, the drug is not recommended for women who have ****** cancer, neoplasia, vaginal bleeding, any hepatic dysfunction or an impending pregnancy. The hormonal balances Premarin causes in these conditions could lead to adverse effects.

However, healthy women going through menopause are using the Premarin pill and the Premarin vaginal cream effectively to face the inevitable problem.

Menopace as Menopause Remedy – up to 85% of Women found it Effective

find menopause relief

menopause help

menopause remedy

The very mention of the word ‘menopause’ fills most women with dread. Quite simply put, menopause is the pause of their sexual life; it is the period after which they will not remain sexually active anymore. But that is not the issue that scares most women. The real fear of menopause is related to the several distressing symptoms that come with it.

In most women, menopause arrives with several correlated difficulties. There could be hot flashes, in which the body temperature increases without any apparent prior indication and then goes down just as suddenly. Some women break out in an unexplained sweat at night. There could be peculiar sensations in the vaginal tract, including itching, burning discomfort and a general dryness. All these symptoms are distressing enough, but they are not all. Menopause is a hormonal activity. There are many drastic hormonal changes going on during this period. Due to this, women may demonstrate peculiarities in their mental behavior also. Women may undergo depression, or they may get extremely irritable. There may also be loss of libido, which could convert into a permanent situation. To top it all, there could be insomnia.

Certainly, with all these problems, menopause is quite a foreboding period in every woman’s life. But, there is respite. Hope comes in the form of Menopace, a very popular and effective drug used as a menopause remedy by women all over the world. Menopace is a safe menopause remedy replete with several vitamins, minerals and nutrients that women need at this stage of their life. Like most other menopause remedies in the market, Menopace doesn’t contain any hormones, so it can be safely taken even by the women who have undergone a hysterectomy.

Menopace is also very convenient to use. It is a one-a-day supplement, which is to be taken with water after a full meal. Since it is not a hormonal supplement, but rather a nutritional supplement, Menopace can be also continued after the menopausal period has subsided without any side-effects. Menopace helps women to find menopause relief from all the painful symptoms that make the period so difficult to live with. This includes the night sweat, hot flashes and all the mental and sexual related problems that occur commonly in this stage. Menopace is very effective too; about 85% of the women of the world have found this drug to help them to find menopause relief.

Menopace is today the leading menopause remedy in the UK. Women are preferring it to other brands because it works in the natural way by fortifying the body with nutrients rather than tampering with the hormones. It has been observed that Menopace does not provide just menopause help, but it also helps in improving the body in several other ways. The drug is supplemented with selenium along with vitamin E to prevent the eventuality of heart problems due to reduction in levels of estrogen. It contains magnesium, zinc and vitamin D, which helps the bones to become stronger. This is very important because in most women, menopause deteriorates the bones. So, Menopace is not just a short-term menopause remedy, but it also fortifies the body for the future.

Magnetic Bracelets for Relieving Pains of Arthritis

magnetic bracelets for arthritis

arthritis pain relief

arthritis natural cures

Statistics reveal that arthritis is affecting an alarming number of people all over the world. About 21 million people have this problem in the US alone. A quarter of all the people visiting the primary care physicians are doing so for their arthritis complains. Arthritis can be of different forms, but the most prevalent one is the osteoarthritis, which is characterized by pain in the joints of the bones. This single form of arthritis will have affected about 80% of all people of the world by the time they have reached the age of 65 years. All these figures are extremely intimidating; they are enough reason for someone to dread getting older. And the scarier part is, the average age at which arthritis is striking people is coming down with each passing year.

Arthritic pains can be very debilitating. It causes a sharp searing pain in the joint itself, accompanied by a burning sensation in the accompanying muscles and tendons. There is an acute soreness and stiffness felt in the region of the pain, which makes moving the joint almost impossible. If the joint is accidentally touched – however gentle the touch may be – it sends a very painful signal all around the area, which may make the person convulse in pain with spasms. Over time, the affected joints fill with a liquid, due to which they swell. At this juncture, the person needs to be extra cautious so that no contact occurs with the swollen part, or it would send out excruciating pain.

Arthritis has been documented in very ancient times, and it is perhaps one of the oldest diseases in the world. Generally, there is no cure. People, even up to the last century, had to resign themselves to their arthritic pains and put them with them until they died. But this is certainly not the case today. Magnetic therapy has made its appearance, and that has really helped in arthritic pain relief.

Science has proved that when a magnetic field is applied to any part of the body, then the blood circulation in that region improves. This brings the assimilated nutrients to the affected region, and improves the oxygen supply to the area. Endorphins, which help vastly in reducing pains, are circulated better in the affected region. With so many benefits, magnetic therapy is certainly being looked upon as a very effective method for arthritis pain relief.

Today, a very large number of arthritis-affected people all over the world are using magnetic bracelets. These specially designed magnetic bracelets for arthritis relief are very effective in reducing arthritis pains in the wrist and even in the fingers, such as the carpal tunnel syndrome. Since there is no medication required, magnetic bracelets are counted among the best arthritis natural cures known to humans.

Apart from bringing in more blood to the affected area and hence providing arthritis pain relief, the magnetic bracelets also help to drive away the accumulated fluids in the affected regions. This makes the body free from the toxins that aggravate the arthritis pains. One far-reaching effect of using magnetic bracelets for arthritis is that the immune system of the person improves on the whole, which is a very important side-benefit.

Magnetic bracelets are one of the most effective arthritis natural cures. Interestingly, these bracelets can be designed very much like jewelry – they can be plated in gold, silver and platinum – and so the wearer need not be embarrassed about having to wear something therapeutic. Genuine manufacturers of magnetic bracelets for arthritis are using highly ornamental designs to make them esthetically valuable, even studding them with jewels and ornamental studs.

You can visit remusnet.com for further information on magnetic bracelets.
Lower Your Bad Cholesterol with Lipitor

side effects from lipitor

lowering cholesterol

lipitor and contraindications

Lipitor needs no introduction. This drug is today the largest-selling drug in the world. The drug is the most effective treatment for reducing bad cholesterol in the body – the very same bad cholesterol that is responsible for life-threatening cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and atherosclerosis; and the best part is, Lipitor works even in people with complications of diabetes mellitus type 2.

Why is Lipitor so famous today? Certainly it is because heart disease is the single largest killer disease in the world today. Heart disease can affect just about anyone, belonging to any kind of social or economic background and living any kind of lifestyle. Medical statistics reveal that the age of people dying with heart complications is progressively decreasing year after year, and people just in their forties can be victims. One of the triggering factors for heart complications is the buildup of low-density cholesterol in the blood. This bad cholesterol deposits in the lumens of the arteries, making them narrower. Consequently blood cannot reach the vital organs, and the heart is one of them.

Lipitor works at this very root cause of heart diseases. It helps in lowering cholesterol in the body through a foolproof chemical reaction. Mevalonate is a chemical synthesized by the hepatic tissue, which is required for the production of bad cholesterol. Lipitor inhibits the very synthesis of mevalonate, due to which the cholesterol level is brought down. Lipitor is a statin drug, i.e. it belongs to the chemical family called as statins. Its chemical name is atorvastatin.

Today, Lipitor’s effects in lowering cholesterol are so commonly known that this drug is being safely prescribed for people with obesity problems, which is as high as one in five in the developed countries of the world.

Lipitor is definitely a remarkable drug, but remarkable drugs do not come without their side effects. The side effects of Lipitor are that it can produce coughing, headaches, dizziness, difficulty in swallowing, congested feeling in the chest, puffiness of the eyelids, shortness of breath and skin rash. In some severe cases, Lipitor can produce side effects such as sore throat, blistering of the skin, swelling of some parts of the body and formation of white spots on the skin. However, the side effects of Lipitor can be easily got rid of through medical attention.

There are some contraindications of Lipitor that must be looked into. Pregnant and lactating women must avoid the drug completely, as it could cause developmental defects in the baby and also cause complications in pregnancy. Lipitor does not work well with most other drugs. So if you are on some medication, you must let the doctor know. Some other contraindications of Lipitor are alcohol abuse and smoking, both of which can interfere with the functioning of the drug.

Lipitor works excellently in lowering cholesterol, but no doctor will ever tell you to stop at Lipitor. The fact is that Lipitor must be taken in conjunction with other cholesterol-reducing treatments, such as a dietary regime and exercise. This will ensure the proper functioning of Lipitor in the body.

The hormonal changes associated with menopause actually begin prior to the last menstrual period, during a 3- to 5-year period called perimenopause. The ovaries begin producing lower amounts of estrogen and other steroid hormones prior to menopause during a phase called perimenopause. Perimenopause is heralded by the onset of irregular periods.

Menopause is the end of the reproductive years rather than the beginning, and thus it is the opposite of menarche, nonetheless it can usefully be compared with that event: the menopause transition years are in many ways similar to puberty in that women experience hormonal fluctuations which usher in a new stage of life.

Menopause is the permanent cessation of menstruation which occurs a considerable length of time before the end of the lifespan. Menopause is considered premature if it occurs before age 35. It is considered late if it occurs in a woman older than 55 years. Menopause is a natural biologic event that does not need to be prevented.

Menopause Symptoms

Symptoms related to menopause are caused by changing or dropping hormone levels and usually end 1 or 2 years after menopause. As menopause approaches, women often experience a number of physical and emotional symptoms including:

Irregular menstrual periods

Hot flashes and night sweats

Disturbed sleep patterns, insomnia

Anxiety

Significant mood changes

Depression

Dry skinIrritability

Vaginal dryness and pain with sexual intercourse

Difficulty concentrating

Trouble remembering things

Diminished interest in sex

Frequent ********* or leaking of urine

Headaches

Achy joints

Fatigue

Early morning awakening.

Symptoms may last from 6 months to about 10 years.

Understanding the natural progression of age in a woman\’s body and becoming acquainted with the therapies available, allows women today to manage their symptoms, however hideous and to be proactive in maintaining their health for their later years.

Women of different ethnicities report significantly different types of menopausal \”symptoms\”. One major study found Caucasian women most likely to report what are sometimes described as psychosomatic symptoms, while African-american women were more likely to report vasomotor symptoms.

Herbal Treatments For Monepause

It is a personal choice for women who desire menopause relief, and this choice should be made after much consideration about the possible side effects of the treatments. Some women concerned about the risks of hormone therapy choose alternative therapies, including homeopathy, herbal treatments, and Chinese medicine. Now that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) no longer commands the primary focus since its reputation has been tarnished, an abundance of prescription drugs are primed to fill the void and sell us treatments for osteoporosis, vaginal dryness, hot flashes, and heart disease.

Menopause Gum

Menopause Gum is the relief of menopausal symptoms, naturally and without a prescription. The Gum is unique in it\’s form of delivering the needed help for sufferers of menopausal symptoms, in a much more appealing form. Menopause Gum is ingested without water through the membranes of the mouth, so more of the essential supplement is delivered to and retained in your body.

Menopause Gum is safe and effective thanks to a scientific blend of old-world herbs. While all four of these ingredients – dong quai root, black cohosh root extract, damina leaf, mexican wild yam root – are in common use and available in health-food stores nationwide. Zoft Menopause Gum is the only herbal supplement to combine all four of these powerful herbal ingredients.

Conclusion

A natural or physiological menopause is that which occurs as a part of a woman\’s normal aging process. Rather than a single point in time, menopause is a process or transitional period when women move away from the phase of life where reproduction is possible.

Learn what menopause is, the symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, and the treatments for menopause from traditional hormone replacement therapy or HRT to natural and bioidentical treatments for menopause. Women need to remember menopause is simply another stage of life, not a disease.

octors are finally beginning to recognize early menopause symptoms in younger women, more and more women are being diagnosed with early or premature menopause. As a result, women who are experiencing infertility or are dealing with menopause symptoms at a young age no longer have to wonder why. Generally, we are unable to determine a cause for early menopause symptoms in younger women. This is frustrating for women as it makes it difficult to accept and deal with this new stage of life. Sometimes though, there are very obvious causes of premature or early menopause.

Early menopause symptoms are essentially the same as those of signs of menopause naturally. Women commonly suffer from night sweats, hot flashes, insomnia, headaches, and joint or muscle pain. Body shape changes are also common, causing you to put on weight around the abdomen. Additionally, water retention and menopause commonly go together.

Early menopause symptoms that women can experience are emotional ups and downs, including anxiety, depression, cravings, and forgetfulness. The reason for night sweats symptoms are triggered by the fluctuation of hormones in the body during menopause. In particular, estrogen levels reduce dramatically during the onset of menopause, causing a variety of changes in the body’s functions.

Early menopause symptoms tend to be associated with more severe menopause symptoms than menopause occurring after the age of 45. Because early menopause is often due to illness, surgery, or genetic issues, there is a rapid decline in the amount of estrogen (known as “estrogen crash”) in your body. This causes you to enter menopause more quickly than other women. Estrogen crash can cause extreme hot flashes, fatigue, mood swings, and depression in some women. In a survey of early menopause symptoms, 100% of women who experienced surgical menopause experienced a number of menopause symptoms in quick succession. 90% of these women complained that their symptoms were severe and lasted more than 8 years.

Unfortunately, there are no early menopause symptom cures. Menopause information has progressed by leaps and bounds over the years, though. It is suggested that most women who have undergone early or premature menopause seek out hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or, alternatively, natural hormone replacement therapy. Menopause symptoms will be very sudden and severe, especially after surgery, and can be lessoned by taking appropriate doses of estrogen. If oral medication is too difficult to take directly after surgery, estrogen patches that release hormones through the skin can be used to help lessen symptoms.

Then there are very early menopause symptoms, however, not all that typical. Very early menopause symptoms can be caused by a lot of things; this includes the following:

1. Premature ovarian failure. Your ovaries failed, therefore, resulting in early menopause symptoms. The common reason for this is because the woman’s body is not responding to the signals to ovulate any longer.

2. Surgery or cancer treatments. A woman can get early menopause if she has subjected herself to certain treatments, usually of cancer.

3. Diminished Ovarian Reserve. This usually occurs to women before the age of 40. This stage is termed as the diminished ovarian reserve.

Very early menopause can be a problem, but only if you make it so; don’t let it make you feel any less of a woman than you are now. A woman is not determined by her monthly cycles, but her ability to face life and all that comes with it. Facing this challenge with a good attitude and menopause information makes you stronger than ever.

How are early menopause symptoms confirmed as menopause? The most important test used to diagnose premature menopause is a blood test that measure follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). FHS causes your ovaries to produce estrogen. When your ovaries slow down their production of estrogen, your levels of FSH increase. When FSH levels rise above 30 or 40 mIU/mL, it usually indicates that you are in menopause.

Summary: When we hear the word menopause, we usually think of ourselves. However, menopause is not a stage necessarily relegated to elderly women. Early menopause symptoms are more common than most women realize – it affects about 1% of women between the ages of 15 and 45. Early menopause symptoms can occur for a variety of reasons, but in the end it leaves an imprint on the lives of all of the women it affects.

Hot flashes are just expected to be a normal part of menopause, but they can be avoided. By making a few changes to your diet you would be surprised at how quickly the hot flashes disappear.

Soybeans are rich in several estrogenic compounds such as daidzein and genistein. This helps to control hot flashes. Since the Japanese eat a diet that is abundant in soy, just 7% of women in Japan have hot flashes with menopause. Tofu is especially good for mimicking the activity of women hormones.

During excessive perspiration your body loses electrolytes. Adding sea vegetables to your diet can help replenish them. To help with your overall health you should also eat foods that are rich with vegetable proteins (instead of animal proteins) like tofu, fiber-rich foods like whole grains, fresh vegetables, calcium-rich foods, mineral-rich foods, and foods with high vitamin E content, such as green leafy vegetables, almonds, and nuts. Drinking a lot of water is vital for this same purpose also.

Besides eating certain foods, there are also certain foods that you should avoid to keep hot flashes at bay. Spicy foods, excess sugar, alcohol, caffeine, dairy products, and meat products can exacerbate and worsen the triggering of hot flashes, as well as mood swings.

The reason hot flashes flare up when you drink alcohol or caffeine is that the blood is acidified and this strains the liver. Smoking also worsens the effect of hot flashes.

Keeping up a regular exercise regimen is also helpful in controlling hot flashes. Often a woman begins to feel down when she is going through menopause. It reminds you that you’re getting older. Exercising daily can keep you fit and toned and makes you feel fabulous, no matter what your age!

Exercise can make your estrogen levels higher, which helps with the relief of hot flashes, or at minimum makes them less severe. Exercise also helps reduce the frequency of many of the other negative side effects of menopause like depression, headaches, fatigue, lethargy, anxiety, and night sweats.

Never allow menopause to dictate the quality of your life. You can’t stop it from occurring, but you can manage how it influences your lifestyle. Changing your lifestyle and diet a little can help you endure this time in your life and end up happier and healthier than ever before.

Menopause is a difficult phase in a woman’s life, both physically and emotionally. Sometimes the worst part is the constantly changing emotions that many women experience. Among the most frequent emotions related to menopause are sadness and irritability. As well, you might experience anxiety, fatigue, aggression, lack of motivation and an inability to focus. And then there’s mood swings. This is one of the most frequently experienced menopause symptoms. You can end up experiencing any or all of these emotions in just a short period of time.

Feelings of depression can also accompany menopause, although it’s not technically a symptom of the condition. Visit your doctor if your mood gets worse and you feel unable to deal with your situation.

It is also common to feel uncomfortable about the physical changes which are occurring. Women can feel helpless because their whole body seems to be out of control. Some of these issues involve loss of fertility, hot flashes, excessive sweating and weight gain.

And when you think it’s finally over, you start to experience the effects of post-menopause. Once again, there will be physical changes to deal with. These changes will also involve some strong emotions; not just negative, but positive too.

Try to keep a positive attitude towards menopause, no matter how difficult it might be. You will end up exacerbating your symptoms if you’re tense and anxious. Manage your stress by exercising regularly and also by using relaxation techniques like yoga and breathing exercises. Talking to others about the experience of menopause is highly recommended. It can be a good idea to discuss your issues with friends and family, or find a support group where you can talk to others with similar problems. Investigate as many sources of menopause information as you can in order to arm yourself with knowledge.

Often, your symptoms can be managed through lifestyle changes, like learning to relax and reduce stress. Here are some tips that may make it easier for you to handle your up and down emotions. Both your physical and emotional health will get a boost.

* Eat healthfully and exercise regularly

* Get ample rest

* Learn to calm yourself with yoga or meditation

* Avoid tranquilizers, alcohol, caffeine and sugar

* Start a creative pursuit that helps you feel like you’re accomplishing something

* Stay connected with your family and friends

You won’t get through life without experiencing change of some kind or another. If the changes you’re going through are related to menopause, the secret is to manage the physical and emotional symptoms as best you can. You can do this through the recommendations mentioned above. Also, learn to remain calm and stress free when situations arise that are out of your control. Take care of your health, indulge yourself from time to time, and maintain a positive attitude. Eventually it will end, and a new chapter of your life will await you.

Do you remember those days when you had a model figure like the ones you see on the cover of magazines? It would seem like ages ago especially when you have reached the menopause stage. By that point, there’ll be bulges around the middle and they’ll carrying on expanding by around a pound a year. It may sound undesirable but it is a fact that every women should face.

Why is it so hard to maintain one’s body weight after menopause? Some people would suspect a change in the hormonal levels for the gain in body mass. But what is more evident is the alteration in the mature person’s lifestyle.

Gone are the days when a woman is so full of energy to actively engage in various activities including exercise. The vigor though seems to have relocated in the eating habit, as the consumption of food becomes an amusing pastime. Moreover, as one ages lesser calories get burned as the body promotes the substitution of muscle with fat.

Then fat burns fewer calories than muscle and the more fat in your body, the slower its metabolism. The increase in weight could also be attributed to genetic factors if your relatives show the same tendency.

Being slightly overweight may not be uncomfortable for some, but putting on too much weight can cause real problems. You may know people who suffer from the consequences of obesity, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and osteoporosis.

Even worse is the possibility of stroke or heart attack that could lead to death. Moreover, the chances of high cholesterol and Type 2 diabetes increase with weight gain. Unfortunately, there is a link between breast cancer and a post-menopausal weight-gain of twenty or more pounds.

How can a mature woman reverse the weight increase phenomenon? Since decrased activity and increased food consumption cause one to gain weight, doing the opposite is a sure way to lose weight. What this means is that you need to start up a workout routine to assist in transforming your fat into muscle.

Aerobic exercises and weight trainings are fun but effective means of losing weight. Meanwhile, if exercise is too strenuous, then one can do any physical activity that will get her to move to the groove, dancing, biking, or just simply walking.

On the other hand, one may still enjoy delicious meals and snacks as long as the calories and the choice of food are being carefully monitored. Moderation is always to the best of the persons interest.

In the end, prevention is always the best and cheapest medicine. Consequently, one doesn’t have to wait for menopause to cram on weight loss programs. While still young, one should focus on maintaining the ideal weight by eating the right kind of food that promotes proper nutrition. The key to good health throughout life is patience and discipline. Menopause or not, maintain that healthy body and weight with the right attitude.

Even though it is something that all women know is going to take place in their life, it can be a shock when menopause finally becomes a part of their life. It can be a confusing time as some women do not know when they have actually entered into this phase of their life.

If you are between the ages of forty-two and fifty-six and have not had a period in a year, then you are safe to say that you are in menopause. Even there is a wide age range where menopause can take place the average age is fifty-two years old.

A good thing to do is to make sure that you are as educated on menopause as possible as this will help you understand the things happening with your body. Menopause is the stage where the body of the female no longer produces as much estrogen and progesterone.

You reach the point when ovaries don’t produce more eggs, thereby extiguishing the chance to get pregnant. The onset of menopause in women is not only marked by a stoppage of the monthly cycle or the loss of ability to conceive, there is also the chance of gaining weight during this phase.

Menopause causes a number of negative side affects such as: insomnia, joint pain, hot flashes and mood swings, but weight gain is probably the most hazardous of them all. Many women find that they gain twenty pounds or more during menopause. Those who chalk it up to being okay as it is just a part of a change of life, it is not okay. There are lots of risks to you health if you gain weight during menopause.

There is the risk of high blood pressure, lower back pains, diabetes, and possible heart problems. Some of these issues can be life threatening so it is important to make sure that any weight issues you have are quickly taken care of. By watching what you eat and making healthy choices, you are already one step closer to a healthy lifestyle. There is more to just eating right though as you have to also make sure that you are getting the right amount of exercise in.

If you’re not used to an active lifestyle, walking, running and swimming are great ways to get your body in motion. You’ll want to add some weight training to your routine once a little time progresses and your body gets used to the exercise. You do not have to bulk up but you will want to burn more fat and add a little lean muscle. There is nothing wrong by being guided from other sources, such as joining a local gym and benefiting from the personal trainers that they have on staff.

Proffesionals are there to help if you get a sense that you are having a bit of trouble with eating what you are suppose to be eating and having the knowledge of what you should or should not be doing. After consulting a nutrition expert you will learn on how to maintain a healthy diet.

Dieting the wrong way could be dangerous for your health. Numerous medical problems, including osteoporosis can be caused by losing weight too quickly and not getting the right nutrients in your diet.

While we know the cliche that only two things are certain “death and taxes.” There is another event that is inevitable for women. Menopause is a change of life that happens to the bodies of females when they hit their 40s. As hormone levels in the system change, exciting and emporwering events begin to take place.

Doctors will agree that this is a natural occurence and it happens as you are no longer able to bear children and are moving on to a new time in our life. You will begin to experience hot flashes, mood swings and your body takes on new curves.

It may seem a bit unfair to have to deal with excess pounds on top of all of the other symptoms, but, it is true. One reason that menopause causes weight gain is that the estrogen levels start to decrease that this time.

While one third of women between 45 and 50 years of old will again at least five pounds, according to most reliable studies, menopausal women will gain between 10 and 15 pounds. Fewer than 50 per cent of all women studied were able to avoid weight gain during menopause, and only then through rigorous dieting.

Since increased pounds can also raise the danger for several diseases such as high blood pressure, stroke and heart failure caused by increase in weight it is advisable that this be managed or avoided. You need to exercise to keep a healthy weight and females need to do both cadio and weights to maintain proper weight.

If you’re a woman in the age range for menopause, your diet should be nutrient-rich and well balanced. Women should be eating fresh fruits and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains and calcium containing foods on a daily basis even before menopause symptoms occur.

You should always take vitamins and minerals and eat food that are good for you, as they are the main factors to stay healthy and help stop a lot of menopausal symptoms if you make changes to your diet.

Things to avoid: alcohol, sugar, processed foods, caffeine, salt, edamame (soybeans).

You will fly right through menopause when you add these healthy foods to your diet and acquire more daily activity. When you are in the second half of your life, you can certainly have some of your best years due to the cumulative experiences you’ve had.

Products that should be in your Diet: Vitamins A, D, C and E, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, fiber, phytoestrogens, and isoflavones; cottage cheese; yogurt; seafood, especially fish; fresh berries and other fruits; whole-wheat cereals and breads; leafy greens like spinach, kale, and broccoli.

By changing your lifestyle to incorporate a healthy diet and exercise, you can smile as those menopausal months come around. A lot of the uncomfortable symptoms can be lowered or gone as you go through a change in your lifestyle. If you exercise more and eat good natural foods, you can make the future your greatest and outgoing years of your life.

In certain social circles, the whole PMS syndrome is a handy tool for off color jokes however for the millions of women who suffer from it, the insomnia and night sweats that are a part of it aren’t funny. This situation is very real and isn’t just a woman’s head. It isn’t an attention getter and it truly isn’t a joke. It is great whenever you don’t suffer from this syndrome but knowing what to do about can make all the difference in the world.

In general PMS is the direct result of a hormonal imbalance. It occurs because of the extreme changes in the hormones right before a woman’s period. The syndrome comes complete with insomnia and night sweats, not to say that some other symptoms for a week or so each month can make life feel like it’s not worth living.

Weight gain

Women who struggle with PMS are well acquainted with the symptoms they experience each month. Beside the night sweats and insomnia, weight gain is also one of the main symptoms. It is common for the hormonal imbalance to dramatically increase appetite while making any form of physical activity unappealing.

This disorder plays with the emotions and can spawn feelings of depression which leads to over eating. The only solution is to find a way to correct the imbalance. Many women are finding success with all natural hormone supplements as it help their self-esteem to control PMS and maintain a healthy weight.

Food cravings

As you going right along with the weight gain, then come food cravings. Many women are familiar with having unusual cravings during their period or before it. It’s fairly common and normally not a problem.

However those cravings are almost impossible to ignore. There are a lot of theories about the hormone – food craving connection. Regardless of which theory is ultimately proven correct, the food cravings can be controlled with proper treatment.

Sometimes severe mood swings

The severe mood swings are the favorite symptom to make fun among of and there isn’t anything funny about them. Imagine struggling with insomnia and night sweats and then feeling completely out of control when it comes to your emotions. For many, this is frightening and makes them feel so out of touch that any relief is welcome.

Luckily these symptoms can all be controlled with a high quality hormone supplement. Menopause treatment that mention in our website is an useful example of an all-natural solution. It is beneficial to take manage now before the threat of night sweats and menopause become an issue.

by Ricardo d Argence

There are a number of health risks that increase during menopause, and many of these risks are exacerbated by a poor diet.

Studies show a reduction in the creation of estrogen and progesterone in women prior to reaching menopause. These hormones also play an important role in bone health, while we tend to think of these almost exclusively in terms of their roles as female reproductive hormones.

Decreases in estrogen levels accompany a reduction in a woman’s bone density. This decline actually starts well before menopause, especially in women with inadequate intakes of calcium and vitamin D during the crucial young adult years of bone formation. The loss of bone density is greatly accelerated during menopause, making women up to seven times more likely to fracture a bone than men, and putting them at risk of osteoporosis.

If she is not already active but during menopause, a woman’s metabolism also begins to slow down it especially. Digestion of food becomes sluggish, causing greater absorption of nutrients from food. Unfortunately, this also means that bad fats, sugars, and other processed food items will have a greater impact on a menopausal woman’s health.

The reduction in women’s reproductive hormones along with alterations in digestive and metabolic function may produce increases in weight. In combination with these other changes, weight gain also puts menopausal women at greater risk for heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and related conditions. The helpful news is that consuming a balanced mealplan in menopause may help lower the odds of acquiring conditions of brittle bones and cardiovascular disease.

The key to a healthful diet that can help stave off osteoporosis, weight gain, and associated health complications, is balance. Start by eating at least three nutritious meals each day. Eating more frequent, smaller meals is even better. Avoid focusing too much on calories, and instead pay attention to reasonable portion sizes and eating foods that pack a lot of nutrients into few calories. Some examples are leafy greens, cruciferous vegetables, and brightly colored red and yellow vegetables. A daily multi-vitamin is also a good idea to ensure adequate intake of important nutrients.

Fiber will serve to fight sluggish metabolism by helping to get food moving through your digestive tract. Helps curb excess weight gain and this promotes digestive health. Whole grains, beans, fruits, and vegetables are nutritious foods that are high in fiber. Increase the fiber in your diet, and decrease the fat and fried food. Restrict general consumption of fat to under 30% of total calorie consumption.

Some fats, though, are essential for good health. Do include sources of omega 3 fatty acids. Some common food sources of omega 3 are salmon and other cold water fish, seeds, and nuts, especially walnuts. Omega 3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation, and can minimize certain bothersome symptoms of menopause.

For managing common symptoms of menopause like hot flashes and irritability, try reducing or eliminating caffeine and spicy foods from your diet. Avoid excess sugar, especially corn syrup and other highly-processed foods.

Drinking water can also help fight hot flashes. It also be great to eat foods rich in plant phytoestrogens (beans and other legumes, apples, potatoes, and carrots.) Soy also contains high levels of phytoestrogens, and there are many tasty flavored drinks, yogurts, and even frozen desserts, that contain soy.

Strive for this amount even if you’re younger than age 50 that the recommended daily allowance for calcium for women over age 50 is 1200 mg. Be sure that your intake of calcium is adequate. Vitamin D helps absorb calcium, thus consuming reduced-fat dairy items with added vitamin D is a smart pick. To prevent osteoporosis, it is advisable to increase the calcium in your diet.

Good nutrition during menopause will greatly lessen the risks of weight gain, osteoporosis, and additional health issues. A healthy diet will also provide you with more energy, and can help you reduce or eliminate troublesome symptoms of menopause.

As a woman there are few things more unpleasant than waking up from a deep sleep in the night sweating. While this menopause symptom is normally associated with menopausal women it can happen to anyone no matter male or female with a hormone imbalance. Moreover pregnant women, menstruating women and even men with a deficiency somewhere in their body system are all prone to night sweats.

It has been well known that stress can influent our bodies and lives in some really profound ways. Our bodies are designed to manage stress on a temporary basis. Some stress like the flight or fight instinct are essentially beneficial in saving our lives or protecting someone else.

It is when stress in chronic and intense for a long period of time which our bodies begin to suffer. This type of long term stress can lead the hormonal system to reduce its production of mood regulating hormones or to shut down totally. Here are just a few methods in which chronic stress can harm lives by damaging hormones.

Gastrointestinal tract

Since night sweating is just one of the symptoms of a hormonal imbalance, as the gastrointestinal tract is disturbed by this imbalance, other issues usually arise. Constipation and other digestive irritations are always the result of a hormonal imbalance. This particular one is generally brought on by pregnancy or birth control use.

Some women have gone through gastrointestinal tract problems when undergoing fertility treatments. Of course any extra symptoms cause more emotional stress which in turn creates more problems with the imbalance. It is very important for your overall health to look for treatment and help with this problem.

Vitamin deficiency

Another method that hormonal imbalance affect the body is in a vitamin deficiency. The vitamin like folic acid, B complexes and vitamin D are the first ones to be targeted. High stress levels have been known to erode the normal levels in the body and cause some of those unpleasant symptoms like night sweating. You could add a vitamin supplement to your routine but without the hormone imbalance being treated it’s not likely to help your symptoms. For that you need to adjust the hormone balance.

Sex hormones

The sex hormones are always affected by hormonal imbalances as well and this is where women are most often affected. Remember the pregnancy, birth control and menopause reference? It is the sex hormones being off kilter that most often lead to night sweating.

Night sweating and the other symptoms related to hormonal imbalances can be corrected. Using an all natural product like menopause treatment that mention in our website is an excellent option. Having your sleep disrupted by hot flashes, night sweats and chills can be safely and effectively stopped.

We all have heard about the inevitability of death and taxes and yet there is one other inevitable event, for women anyway. Around the age of 40-50, females have a change taking place in their lives and bodies that is known as menopause. Hormones begin to shift and the levels change, which brings about some exciting and empowering events.

According to doctors, this is a natural phenomenon that happens as you leave child-bearing years behind and move into a bright new time of life. You will begin to experience power surges (hot flashes), great depth of feeling (mood swings) and your body takes on new curves (excess weight).

This seems a bit unfair to have to deal with excess pounds on top of all of the other symptoms, but nonetheless it happens. One of the reasons that menopause predisposes us to weight gain is because our natural estrogen levels begin to decrease during these years.

Over a third of most women between the ages of 45 and 50 are shown to gain a minimum of 5 pounds, although the most reliable studies indicate that actual menopausal weight gain is between 10 and 15 pounds. Less than half of all women in the studies maintained their same weight throughout the menopausal years and this was only through extreme dieting and determination.

Weight control is important because increased weight can increase the chance for diseases such as high blood pressure, stroke, and heart disease. Exercise is a key factor which helps in maintaining proper weight, and the females should be involved with the cardiac activities as well as weight training.

The diet for women who are in the menopausal age range should be packed with nutrients and be well balanced. Even before menopause symptoms occur, women should be eating fresh fruits and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains and calcium containing foods on a daily basis.

If you want a healthy life, free of many of the most common menopausal symptoms, adjust your diet to include healthy foods including all of the necessary vitamins and minerals.

Some foods you should avoid are: sugar, processed foods, salt, edamame (soybeans), soy based products like tofu.

When you bring a new healthy diet and exercise program into your life you can meet those menopausal months with a bright smile. Many of those annoying symptoms can be decreased or eliminated and you can sail through this normal transition in style. With increased activity and natural, whole foods it is possible to make this new time in your life the best and most productive years of all.

If you are female who experience abnormal progesterone levels, then menopause progesterone cream may be just what you need to feel better and get your energy levels back on track. Many doctors and gynecologists normally will recommend birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy.

Those menopause treatments are useful for many women but they come along with their own set of adverse side effects and risks. It is almost always better to use natural means to cure any medical condition and a hormonal imbalance is no different. Below is a quick overview of the kinds of results you can expect with a progesterone cream as menopause treatment.

Improved energy

There are few symptoms of a hormonal imbalance more frustrating to sufferers than the intense loss of energy many people suffer. Without the means to balance this trouble, your performance at home, work or any other important function will seriously be decreased. Many women have found relief applying progesterone cream as menopause treatment. While safely, naturally and effectively restoring your progesterone levels, this type of treatment can assist your old vigor and vitality back. It’s like having all of the benefits of traditional therapies with none of the adverse effects.

Sleep better

Another one of progesterone cream side effects is you will quickly find that your sleep will be much improved. All kinds of scientific researches have been done proving that a lack of sleep and rest is incredibly harmful to your overall health. Our bodies simply don’t perform properly when it isn’t well rested. Of course sleeping better will also concentration abilities and improve your energy and there is no need to suffer from a lack of sleep any longer.

Decreased feelings of tension and anxiety

It has long been said that women are simply moody people. The truth is women are completely stable and sound people when every function of their bodies is performing correctly. When your hormone levels are out of balance, it is common to feel unnatural levels of tension and anxiety. Progesterone cream is the perfect way to rebalance that delicate system. With this menopause treatment, you can feel relaxed and emotionally healthy again.

Using a progesterone cream that derived from a natural source is a great way to safely level your hormone balance. There are many menopause treatments which is an all natural cream such as mention in our website. Rather than potentially harmful HRT, consider about taking a progesterone cream as menopause treatment for yourself.

As it is for most women, when menopause arrives, you may notice notice weight gain, even without any change in your diet or exercise routine. When dealing with the menopause, you need to remember that your body is going through a big change.

Your body’s production of estrogen has dropped and you will find that as it does so, you may be in a place where you are putting on more weight. As your body changes, the steps that you need to take to make sure that it stays healthy and fit is going to change as well.

You have to consider that your habits varies from your adolescence and adulthood. It’s understandable that a change needs to happen both before and after menopause.

The way that body fat is distributed has a lot to do with menopause, and you will find that with that in mind the decline of estrogen levels can increase fat around the middle in women, something that can happen even if the total body weight remains the same. It is very common to gain weight around menopause. Genetics may play a real role in your shape as well as an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. Many women retire around this stage, and that can play a role as well.

Remember though, that there are definitely things that you can do to lose weight during and after menopause. First make sure that you are getting all the nutrients that you need. Getting calcium into your system is quite important as the reduction in estrogen will start taking away from your calcium deposits. Similarly making sure that you are going to get magnesium in your diet will help you get the calcium to where it needs to go.

Beyond that, start keeping a food journal. It is always good idea to make sure that you know what you are eating and how it is affecting you. This is a time in your life when your body is going through a lot of changes and where it is certainly going to have different needs. Look for a diet that is high in fresh fruits and vegetables, and at the end of the day, this is something that can go a long way towards keeping you healthier over all.

Similarly, remember that exercise is going to play a large role in what you need to do to keep your body fit and trim. Take some time and really find an exercise that appeals to you.

It is the best span in your life to be extra energetic and to remain energetic, hence think for a while and actually think what your choices will be. Find an exercise regimen that appeals to you. Crossing it with things that will help you to move forward is a great idea.

Think what your body wants, weight loss is possible through and after the menopause only if you completely know your body.

Progesterone is something you should know about if you are a woman. It’s a vitally important hormone that must remain balanced to make sure that you are at your best and your health is protected. While this hormone isn’t produced at the levels necessary, some negative effects can make your life truly unpleasant.

Your doctor may recommend hormone replacement therapy or other chemically based solutions to you. Fortunately you can take control of your own body and cure the adverse effects naturally and safely. First let’s take a look at some of the ways which progesterone imbalance can affect your life.

Progesterone acne

Picture it, you’re sailing along through life just fine when suddenly your face looks like you’re back in high school again. Whoever said acne is only a problem in the teenage years has never experienced a hormone problem. Come to think of it, acne and pimples occur in the teenage years due to the body trying to regulate hormones too.

A lack of progesterone in your system can cause your body and face to breakout and the acne can be so bad as to cause scarring in some cases. Obviously this problem needs to be dealt with immediately in proper way. A progesterone cream is one of the safest ways to restore balance and get rid of acne.

Progesterone weight gain

As if acne weren’t bad enough, a hormonal imbalance can also cause you to gain weight for no apparent reason. It is amazing how one seemingly small blimp on the screen of your health can affect so many different things. One drawback to this type of weight gain is that until the hormonal imbalance is corrected, you won’t be able to take the excess weight off again and the underlying problem must be fixed first.

Progesterone and fertility

Far more important than acne or a few extra pounds, is the possibility of sacrificing your fertility to the altar of progesterone imbalance. Without the correct balance for you, it can be more difficult to conceive a child or handle the symptoms of menopause. When you consider that progesterone is essential in releasing the egg for conception, any limit on your ability to effectively do so is a threat to your fertility. A pregnancy progesterone cream can help you balance the odds and become pregnant if that is your wish.

Progesterone levels can be returned to normal with the use of a product like menopause treatment that mention in our website. This progesterone cream is an all natural way to improve the hormone balance in your system.

Gone are the days when women were expected to suffer in silence with the unpleasant and disturbing menopause symptoms. Thanks in equal parts to the women’s association, medical forethought and learning about this natural normal hormone change, women have more choices than ever in caring for themselves during this crucial time. One of the useful things now available is a menopause supplement product. There are a wide range of products on the market which are all designed improve health and stabilize the chronic symptoms.

Red Clover Menopause Supplements

With the creation of hormone replacement therapy, women thought the menopause nightmare was end. Finally there was a medication that helped regulate the various changes and symptoms which go along with the change of life. Over the past several decades HRT has become the standard for care during menopause. With such an effective medication why would anyone consider applying a menopause supplement?

Menopause Progesterone Cream

The answer to that question could have many components and every person on earth has a different genetic composition. Some women simply couldn’t find the right combination of synthetic hormones to control their symptoms. Others don’t approve of using chemical remedies for menopause as they feel it is unnatural and unhealthy.

They would prefer to choose one of the herbal natural methods which have been around for centuries as opposed to medical science. Of course there are also the women who have read the researches indicating that HRT use can increase a woman’s chances of certain types of cancer. Currently these findings are still under review however choosing natural alternatives carries less risk.

Soy And Menopause Products

Despite the ease of the menopause patch and hormone replacement therapy, more and more women are choosing to settle menopause in their own way. Healthy lifestyles and natural hormone replacements like progesterone cream are growing in popularity and the movement doesn’t seem to be waning. While the wonderfully free thinking children of the sixties continue to age, chances are good that women will continue to make choices about their health care by their own way.

Searching for a menopause supplement to fit your needs is a simple process online. For instance, the menopause treatments which mention on our website are all natural progesterone cream that you can only find online. This menopause therapy along with living and treating yourself well is a great answer to how to manage your menopause symptoms.

Menopause is experienced at one time or another by most women. Since so many women suffer from the effects of hot flashes, it is no wonder that interest in menopause treatments is on the rise. With the increasing popularity of organic produce and grocery items, it is also no wonder that an interest in herbal remedy for menopause has surfaced as well.

As menopause is caused by a lack of estrogen in your system, it makes sense that if by replacing the estrogen your body which is losing with a suitable substitute, you can alleviate menopause symptoms. Many scientists have worked for many years to develop a prescription drug or hormone replacement therapy to cover the loss of estrogen during menopause. Unluckily the side effects of these therapies made the drug less than successful.

Some women have even found that adding estrogen to their body ended up getting them to cancer. While drugs have so many side effects and dangers, many women look for herbal remedy for menopause. There are many plants and herbs that really mimic the properties of estrogen and these botanicals make up the ingredient list in herbal remedies for menopause.

Some botanicals that are finding success in curing menopause include soy and maca. With the use of herbals bringing many women menopause relief, many companies are beginning to develop alternative treatments for menopause. Ensure you do some studies and only choose an all natural product like mentioned in our website.

Herbal menopause remedies don’t just mimic the estrogen effects in your body. Many herbal menopause remedies help your body to stimulate estrogen. As your body creates estrogen naturally, it is much healthier than you use a drug and fill your body with a synthetic estrogen.

If you take an herbal remedy for menopause, you should try to increase the benefits of the supplement by participating in a healthy lifestyle. For instance, whenever you are a smoker, you should quit for good and watch your intake of high fat foods. Cut back on caffeine including things such as coffee, soda and sugar.

Whenever you seek out herbal remedy for menopause, you will be enjoyably surprised at how something that is all natural can help you to relief menopause symptom.

Finding cure for menopause has been a medical priority for many years. It is more than just embarrassed as they can occur at the most inconvenient times. Scientists and doctors have analyzed menopause for many years and looking for a cure for its symptoms like hot flashes.

After so many researches, they have come up with some prescription hormone replacement therapies however nothing that has a proven track record as a safe menopause treatment. They have even found some drugs that weren’t created to cure menopause, do in fact relief some of the menopause symptoms. Unluckily drugs such as Neurontin and Effexor have some dangerous side effects that make them poor choices in the fight to reduce the symptoms.

The best menopause treatment is finding a natural way to duplicate the estrogen your body is no longer producing. Once you approaching menopause, your body will slows down the production of estrogen. This is why menopausal women stop having their menses and no longer ovulate.

Estrogen does more than just control ovulation and your cycle. It also controls things like distribution of fat on your hips and thighs, your appetite and your body’s thermostat. If you have plenty of estrogen, your temperature is directly influenced; if you have too little estrogen, the part of your brain that manages your temperature becomes confused.

As a result it sends your temperature up sometimes as much as 6 degrees Celsius. Your body directly responds to this temperature increase with a rapid heartbeat, racing pulse and excessive sweating. As you sweat and your temperature quickly falls, it brings on chills and all of this work gets you to experience great fatigue.

When you take a natural product for menopause like the products that mention in our website, the estrogen that you are losing will replace with a natural alternative. This aids to control your thermostat regulated and causing hot flashes to cease. Moreover natural therapy does not have the same threat of dangerous side effects like prescription drugs.

Remember that hot flashes will leave quickly, so be ready to turn the air conditioner off whenever you get a chill. You can also wearing apparel in layers so that when a hot flash strikes, you can take away clothing and cool down. Finding a natural cure for menopause is easy and much safer than trusting on prescription drugs to alleviate your symptoms.

Women who are going through menopause, the ‘change of life’, often had no idea how miserable this experience could be, until it was upon them. You may change from a perfectly rational, cheerful and upbeat person into an irrational, anxious, nervous bundle of nerves.

This bad movie may not end here. Along with heart palpitations, serving only to increase your anxiety and nervous condition, irritability and headaches enter the picture. Perhaps the worst of all is the episodes of profuse perspiration associated with the infamous hot flashes. You may become depressed (ya think?). Although not every woman experiences all of these symptoms, just a few are enough to drive you crazy. Now that we know that hormone replacement therapy is not a good idea, what do you do? Fortunately, there are a number of herbs for menopause, which provide safe and effective relief from these less than enchanting symptoms.

Many of these herbs have been used for centuries, as a specific for menopausal symptom relief, in a variety of cultures around the world. Here are some of the best.

Black Cohosh is one of the best single herbs for menopause symptoms. Native Americans used this plant extensively for many female complaints and specifically for menopausal symptoms. This plant has a component which is a precursor for estrogen – your body uses this estrogen precursor to produce just the amounts of estrogen your body needs. Black Cohosh is also an excellent remedy for hot flashes, anxiety and depression. In addition to combating rheumatic conditions, it relieves muscle cramps and attendant pain. Some studies suggest it may also help manage blood pressure and reduce cholesterol.

If hot flashes are a problem, you’ll want some Red Clover flowers in your cupboard. Brew a cup of red clover tea and drink 3 or 4 cups each day. Incidentally, red clover is also a treatment for ovarian cysts.

The dried fruits of the Agnus Castus tree is another one of the excellent herbs for menopause. Its main virtue lies in its hormone balancing qualities, which helps relieve depressive conditions, especially in menopause.

Angelica, also known in Traditional Chinese medicine as Dong Quai, is another of the hormone balancing herbs for menopause. Angelica contains goodly quantities of natural plant estrogens, treating symptoms of reduced levels of estrogen.

Sage, the common culinary herb, may be drunk as a tea to reduce sweating and hot flashes. Drink 3 or 4 cups daily. Use this herb liberally in your foods as well. If you’re bothered by the dreaded night sweats, sage is especially helpful in bringing you relief.

St. John’s Wort, or Hypericum has a mild sedative effect which proves useful if you’re feeling anxious and may also help with depression.

This list of herbs for menopause is not exhaustive. Consult a qualified herbalist or naturopathic doctor for specific doses and choices that are right for you.
